Hey! This is Kyyatta calling out to you folks reading Blogger in 2007 or later!
I am a member of the WAUGkids, kids who will be born in 2050 or later, or maybe a little earlier, but anyway, we need to tell you how we feel, and it isn't good.
From our vantage point in the future (who says you can't see backward and forward in time - it's just another dimension, you know!), we can see you guys in the GDNG doing nothing to stop the incredibly horrible legacy you are creating from coming down on us and making our lives really "suck," to use one of the coarser expression you guys invented.
The three really big deals you are screwing up are stability among the peoples of earth, meaning there's going to be a lot more wars and terrorist actions in the coming years, and "you ain't seen nothin' yet," as the old time hawkers on Coney Island used to say after you paid to see the bearded lady and the two-headed calf.
Well, war and terror are one thing you are going to leave to us to deal with. Why? Because the GDNG (Great Do Nothing Generation) is happy to keep looking the other way when politicians, despots, rapcious corporations, sleazy credit companies and racist and fanatic lunatics oppress people so badly and for so long that the resentment boils over into revolution, civil war, terrorism, and protracted hate and reciprocal enmity that results in huge losses of life and the destruction of cultural icons, artistic treasures, inspiring temples, cathedrals, mosques, and government buildings, and the collective knowledge and human discoveries that will be wiped out when national libraries, universities, academies, schools, and data bases are obliterated for corrupted beyond redemption by a nuclear holocaust or simple barbarism and rioting.
You've heard enough from me. Please get into some kind of activism and give future generations a break. Oh! WAUGkids are in the "What About Us? Generation" coming in the furture.
Bye,
Kyyatta, from what used to be Tuvalu, but got submerged when the ice caps melted. You can read about Tuvalu in the U.N. Chronicle, 2007 - Google.com can find it for you!
